AAI Awards Program

The American Association of Immunologists Awards Program recognizes scientists of distinction at every career stage. In 2011, more than 540 AAI members shared over $500,000 in grants and career awards honoring their research achievements and/or their professional promise. AAI anticipates providing similar levels of recognition and support in 2012.

Take this opportunity to nominate a worthy colleague for recognition or apply for a travel grant in support of your own work. Note: 2012 award and grant application deadlines have passed.

The 2012 AAI Award winners will be recognized throughout IMMUNOLOGY 2012™ in special sessions. Three Awardees will present their research in lectures.

AAI Career Awards honor individuals for outstanding research and career achievements.

AAI Travel Awards and Grants recognize the professional promise of early- and mid-career investigators by assisting them with travel to the AAI annual meeting.

Minority Scientist Travel Awards support the participation of under-represented minority students and postdoctoral fellows at scientific meetings and conferences, including the AAI Annual Meeting. Minority scientist awards are supported by a grant to the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), National Institutes of Health [FASEB MARC Program: T36-GM08059-29].
